The giving of one’s time and talents is priceless and deserves much gratitude. We value the time and talents of our volunteers. ABS strives to we make sure you have a memorable experience. Our volunteers come from many backgrounds such as college students, parents, retirees, business people, or just simply "folks who care."

Volunteer Opportunities:

• Read with a child
• Help students with simple homework
• Assist with light office work
• Help write thank-you notes
• Make Phone Calls
• Teach a craft
• Chaperone on a field trip
• Become a lunch buddy
• Help spread the word about our good work
• Serve on the ABS Board or ABS Advisory Board
• Share your skills and talents with the youth

We make it easy and simple. High School students who would like to volunteer can download the High School Volunteer Application Form here. All others who would like to volunteer can download the General Volunteer Application Form here. You may email or mail your completed applications to 4836 Park Road, Charlotte, NC 28209. In addition you may fax completed forms to 704-665-4244. Someone will contact you and set up a time for you to find out how and when you can get started.

Please note that all Volunteers must pass our background screening process which searches, local, national and sex offenders register. No volunteer can start without the completion of this background.
