Our staff consists of persons with an array of educational experience and knowledge:

• Executive Director, with over 19 years of afterschool experience, exceeded 800 hours of certified training and program development courses. Accomplished Grant writer who has secured over $10,000,000.00 in federal, state, local and foundation grants. 2019 Graduate of Third Sector Leadership program.
• Certified Teachers for all grade levels and subjects
• Retired Teachers who maintain a passion to teach
• Highly qualified experienced tutors
• All staff must pass a National, Local and Sex Offenders Background Check annually

Our staff are proficient in instruction of the Common Core Standards adopted by the NC Department of Public Instruction along with other states. Staff use a variety of differentiated learning to ensure we give students an engaging way to learn.

Student use I-Ready online tutorial to reinforce, strengthen and build reading skills enabling students to achieve proficiency in reading.

We provide ongoing Professional Development and training for our Administrative and Tutorial Staff. ABS is strengthened by ensuring our program utilizes research and evidence base best practices.
